Kona jake or jake the snake ? What offers the best value for money

Jake the Snake for more serious cross stuff. Comes with more sensible chainring sizes and tyres (as well as better kit overall).
Genesis are the heavy, slow touring bikes of the CX world

they seem to do okay under the 2x European & 9x British cyclo-cross champion
there are better value for money CX bikes than Kona, but if you have to have one, what are you going to be doing on it?
Mainly to do routes that are a bit boring on a mountain bike or have a lot of road sections plus some local cx races for fun

as mentioned above, the Jake the Snake has gearing more suited to off-road riding and racing, and a higher spec with 11spd and a carbon fork
I think I've made the right choice then. Just quite a big jump in price between the two. Thanks
