This post needs a big like button, one for getting out on the bike and two for reminding me its Friday 😀.

Early finishes and grabbing the bike from r a cheeky spin is always good.

i long for a 4 day week or early finish.

I used to have a job that had both. 4 in 7, unofficially job-and-knock and the boss always needed favours so I could pretty much choose my own shift pattern. The amount of times I would tell him I'm going biking/away on xyz days and him just amend the rota without saying a word was unreal, the joke in the office was that I had enough credits accrued from covering shifts, doing extra jobs etc was enough to cover a year off!

Really miss all of that ☹️

Nice. It's wet here all weekend and it's minging out on the trails, full on slop weather so I'll be finishing off my home built rocker plate so I can start a new polarized training plan.

I hate this time of year - the weather is shite, it's dark by 4pm, an hour's ride results in an hour's clean up time... I haven't ridden my MTB in weeks, haven't even used my new night riding lights in anger yet!

Congrats on the new job. I left a job in 2020 that had 1pm finishes on Friday- was ace. That was one of the harder aspects to get used to in the job that followed.

That would be a dream!

Just hopped on the turbo for a quick 30 mins after work for the first time in about a month and a half.

Had a chest infection then Covid back to back and finally clear - so going to have a little mtb ride Sunday (probably in the rain). Busting just to be in the woods / have a bit of buzz downhill with a very gentle uphill to get there.

Indeed. What's more although the money may be rubbish life's cheaper when you don't have to go to work.

I,very fortunately, work full time hours but compressed into Mon-Thursday, and have done for some years since the girls were small. I love a 3 day weekend! Not all of my Fridays are spent riding, sometimes I have work stuff to finish off, I do the school run, and am increasingly spending more time with my elderly parents ... but usually get 1-3 hours in. Marvellous!
