I've been totally wiped out by the above it's now my fourth day with it and my throat still feels like a hot pokers been shoved down it. But to make things worse we (the family) have all got it with the exception of the toddler who had a mild case and passed it to us so he,s been doing great leaps off the sofa on to poor ill dads back which is most amusing to eldest son and wife that are currently residing on the sofa and bean bag with duvet,s over them.
Never had this before (am 38) and wouldn't wish it on anyone.
I rarely get ill but had this a few months ago. Could barely sleep as the pain was so bad. Antibiotics sorted it in two days though.
I get it 3-6 times a year for some reason, it sucks.
I get it a bit, get onto the doctors, antibiotics usually clears it quickly (24 hours or so when I've had it the last few times)
It's miserable. Get it loads. More so since I had my uvula out.
It's horrible isn't it. I had a nasty dose of it while in Prague and had to fly home in considerable discomfort. I feel your pain brother.
Can't say antibiotics have ever done anything for me.
I've had tonsilitis, sinusitis, conjunctivitis and a chest infection simultaneously. FTW! Get well soon dude.
I seem to be prone to this lost count the amount of times iv'e had it, however as i have got older it seems to be less savere and when i feel it coming on i just ease down on the riding and its gone in a few days, seem to get a couple of bouts every winter.
I had tonsilitis when I was 19 and its the illest I've ever been, I asked my flatmate to check on me every couple of hours! my tonsils are now pitted and permanently enlarged, and flare up a couple of times a year, welcome to the club! I've asked about getting them out but as an adult, unless you are getting a severe infection several times a year, the blood loss and risk of infection is too high to justify it.
