Hi all,

If you buy a Lyrik and fit an rc2 damper, is it the same fork as a Lyrik?

Or is there difference in the weight of the chassis?

Apologies for the 101 threads at the minute, I'm in the middle of a build and am making lots of choices.

The chassis is exactly the same, as is the airspring (assuming a 2019 debonair spring has been out in). I don’t 100% know but I thought I read somewhere the Yari has cheaper lower seals - but that’s an easy / cheap change anyway.

I’ve taken a 2017 Yari and put in an rct3 charger 2 damper and the 2019 airspring and it’s a good improvement in performance. Guess with the rc2 you’re getting an additional hsc adjustment - which is worse doing if you know how to get the best out of it. I’ve already got more adjustments than I know what to do with!

Along the same lines I put the RC2 and Debonair in my Revelation and the difference was night and day, fully recommended.

The damper is the only difference, so yes you have a lyrik if you swap the damper. It's worth upgrading to the new spring assembly too if you don't already have it - it's only £40.

I did the same and the fork is much improved (although I bought the RCT3 damper rather than RC2, since the pedal threshold/lock is useful to me and I found the high speed compression damping on my RC pike to be spot on, so didn't think I'd use the high speed adjustment on the RC2 much. That said, I think the lyrik damper is valved a bit firmer than the pike, although I haven't ridden them back to back).
