Anyone running an xx1 chainset with a singlespeed set up?
Any clues as to the compatibility of the chainring with other chains than xx1? Would it be better to swap for a spiderless ss ring?
I use it on my Niner. Had to use a 37t on the front and 20 on the rear. I've yet to try a wobbly on the front, but they do fit and have thought about going for a 32 no spider, but haven't and can't be bothered TBH as what I have suits me and the bike. I do sometimes use a 21 on the rear if I do a lot of climbing....I'm using SRAMs chain too 😀
Ah ok, so if I bought a 32 chainset and kept my normal sprocket at the rear (19surly) I would have to use an xx1 chain? Or would any sram ss chain do?
Should be fine, I mean I opened the packet and chucked it on and rode it 😳
