Have run an Xx1 crankset with a direct mount chainring for quite a while without any problems and decided to try an oval version. Like a fool 😳 I managed to strip one of the M5 x T25 bolts in the crank arm. Looked at a repair with a helicoil but it's a mare to get at, thought the axle might push out to make it a very simple job, anyway ordered a new crankset but can't find a torque setting online to avoid a recurrence of my faux pas. Should I use some kind of threadlock? Not done that previously and they stayed tight.
