Is it worth the extra over an xt shifter?

I have this setup and it shifts really well, no idea if the xtr is better than the xt but it has a carbon paddle so its worth it!

I had this setup and would say yes. It's the shifter where you notice the difference. Had a nicer, crisper feel. Also seems to keep that new feel longer if that makes sense. I've upgraded to xtr all round now but not noticed much improvement with the derailleur.

Finally gone 1 X 11 with a Works components oval narrow wide chainring, XT cassette and mech and an XTR shifter. I'm happy with it.

Is this for 11 speed?

I have 10 speed saint on one bike and 11 speed xt shifter on another.
I prefer the feel of the 10 speed saint shifter but not by much. I have not tried xtr 11 speed to know if that shifter is better in feeling.

I don't think xtr shifters are much better than xt but I have bought all XTR (11 and 10 speed) for my bikes except one which has XT.
If xtr is a theoretical performance figure of 100% then xt is 90% but I find a significant drop down to around 40% for an slx shifter which always feel horribly plasticky and nowhere near as nice as xt and xtr. I believe xt and xtr use roller bearings where slx use bushings.

Edit: when I say performance I really mean feel. They have all performed flawlessly its just the xt and xtr feel nicer to use.
