Since buying hope tech brakes some years back I have always had a problem fitting shifter in the perfect position.
Why hope allowed this design out I'll never know but that's a different story
After buying a 9 speed shifter many years ago and noticing you coyly move the shifter on the bracket I purchased a 10 speed set recently.
To my annoyance these new M980's didn't allow you to move the shifter body like on the old model.
Now my question is can I buy the I-spec mounts that have the adjustable bit?
£45 from chain reqction.
I'm hoping the shifter itself is the same and its just the top mounts that are different.
Want the I-spec setup as I have eventually ditched the hope's and gone for some XT brakes.
I don't think that what you want to do will work. But there is a lot of info here that may help.
Thanks for that, interesting read however I'm still unsure if buying the I spec mounts will allow me to slide the shifter.
I'm going to buy some to try it.
