Need a new pair of pedals and have heard many differing stories about these new XTR's. Are they as bad as some of the reviews? Should I avoid and go for the M970's for an all round fit and forget pedal?

I have the older xtr last generation they are faultless! The new one on the quick ten min ride up and down the road seemed to let let pull out easily but might be my setting on them.

Thanks for that Wookster - the two criticisms I've seen are 1. very tight and little float and 2. crap mud shedding...
