You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
My rear mech is feeling a bit tired, but mainly from being gunged up internally. The mech is still in good shape otherwise, so l dont want to bin it off for the sake of a bit of a thorough clean. In particular the cage spring struggles to pull the slack out of the chain if l go from a large sprocket / chainring combo, to a small one. Is it possible to dissassemble one without buying specific tools? I'm struggling to find any guides online.
Ta!
Completely, but you do need 4 hands to put it back together.
