Recently I invested in some of the above pedals for my Curtis in 'trail' flavour having been using some ancient but worn out mid '90's xt spd's. The issue I'm having is I guess the float in the new pedals. The old ones held my shoes as good as solid and there were no issues, after a couple of long tough rides (and some experimenting) with cleat position etc with the new pedals I'm suffering quite bad aches in my knees, the thing is the new pedals have what I'd call shit loads of float when clicked in! What's up?! I'm a bit green on modern gear having been stuck in retroland for a few years but didn't read anything regarding excessive float in new pedals?
Cheers
