Need to buy a new double chainset.
I can get an XT for £140 or is it worth splashing out on XTR?
I've seen the XTR double for £280 on BikeNow.com is it too good to be true?
Anyone out there used BikeNow? I think they are in Spain.
xt are £125 @ Merlin
Awesome, XTR is £269 too!
So should I go XTR or XT?
Is there a massive difference?
about £144
Weight of wallet.
Lol
Even better ... X0 crankset in my preferred size and ring pairing for £185 ... I'll have that thanks 😀
Why? Heavier than XTR, dreadful chain ring life, doesn't shift as well and BBs are crap. XT or XTR.
Critically for me, can be used with spiderless rings.
I'm seeing only good reports on the shifting and the BB seems sorted now.
Added a £2.95 Powerlink and got both got for £182.65 less 3.03% TCB. Can't be bad 🙂

Exactly what I did, replaced a Sram S1400 crankset, which I believe is x7. Def looks nice on the bike, never had a problem changing down, but changing up seems easier and quicker. Overall pleased. Just waiting or my XT brakes to arrive now.
