Well the descriptions at Madison are identical. I'd imagine the XTR has better bearings for the extra money though.

hopefully, im worried the fairy tears may be diluted in the winter so an looking for spares.
They're different. They need different tools to fit them for a start. The XTR one needs a TLFC24 adaptor, the XT one a TLFC25 (both in conjunction with a normal external bb tool)
Looks more similar to a Ultegra BB and uses/Requires the same plastic adapter tool to fit(TLFC 25).

I have been using the Ultegra one on my 29er for the last 6 months with no issues.
The extra width of the external cups(compared to a older XT or deore BB) means I can run one 2.5mm spacer either side of the BB shell to give perfect chainline for 1x10.
No issues with sealing so far.
