From time to time peolle ask my external bb has just died which one should i get now. I fitted kne of these to the kenesis last august. It the threaded version. Done 1368km on it off road and it has seen some winter filth. When refitting the race wheels today i noticed the bb was not well.
So ther you go 1300km is one data point
Remind me why this life span is deemed progress from the days of square taper. Fitted a old middle burn chainset (485g) with a single ring and ti crank bolts and a royce talant square taper bb (246g) to my other 29er single speed. I dont think i will be upgrading to a modern chainser.
