Struggling indexing my new xt shadow plus rear mech just fitted new cassette 11-36 with oneup 42 tooth cog new hope retainer chainring and 10 speed SRAM chain no problems moving up to the 42 oneup b limit screw is all the way in.
Issue is when I get the gears working from 11 tooth upward as I get up towards last 3 cogs the indexing runs out tried to reduce the cable tension but then struggle going from 11 cog to the next one due to lack of cable tension made sure new gear cable is well lubed and no snagging on new outer any ideas ?
I had the same issue with a shadow plus xt mech, couldn't get enough B tention ended up replacing the screw with a longer bolt or as I was advised on here run the b tention bolt in the other way.
I took me a while messing but is perfect now
Thanks I'll give it ago thought because I have no issues moving upto the 42 oneup I did not need any more b screw adjustment
