You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I have a hardtail that I use mainly as a gravel bike, but it only has a 32 tooth chainring, a 2018 Deore XT Hollowtech II boost. I’d really like at least a 36 or even 38 tooth ring on the front, but my searches seem to suggest 34 is the biggest size Shimano make for that group set.
Can anyone suggest an alternative chainring that will fit my cranks?
Superstar, or most places will have larger rings for the BCD of your cranks I'd imagine.
EDIT your BCD is 96mm and Superstar go up to 36T

The 2018 XT implies he needs the asymmetric flavour.
You can get a 34t from OneUp that will fit https://www.oneupcomponents.com/products/xt-m8000-chainrings
Not sure who would make larger than 34 though

Superstar linky not worky. But they seem to do them in all flavours up to massive.
Thanks very much, looks like Superstar Components will have one that fits.
This is probably a stupid question, but what does BCD stand for?
Bolt Circle Diameter
You can get an oval from absolute black in 36t flavour.
