Does anyone know what bar end shifter I can use with a 10 speed XT m786 mech (pref indexed) ?

AFAIK they will not work, road and mtb shimano 10spd is not compatible. I think there is an explanation on the Singular cycles site in a blog post somewhere.

Microshift make some Shimano MTB 10s bar end and thumb shifters now.
