Will this work if I upgrade just the calliper? Or is there a better upgrade option?
Thanks,

It works. This is how the new 4 pot come out the factory.
I’d run a zee caliper with m8000 levers.

I heard the banjo bolt is different though.

I just swapped an XT 4pot onto a 2 pot..
the banjo is indeed different but I was swapping the 4 pot from a long hose to the short hose so just kept the correct bolt with the caliper.
If you are adding a 4pot caliper to a 2 pot only system, you would need the bolt.

Running XT and XTR levers with Saint calipers. Got the banjo bolts from SJS Cycles. Went with Saint calipers over XT as the deal was better.

As statet above. New banjo hoses needed. The 4 piston caliper uses a stubby bolt.
Reason for going zee, bigger diameter pistons. If you’re going to the trouble of replacing them then why not go all in. No difference between saint and zee caliper other than looks.
This is the banjo part.

No difference between the XT and Zee/saint caliper either.

I just fitted the new XT 4 pot calipers to a set of M8000 levers, it works fine just need the smaller banjo bolt. I have Goodridge hoses and fittings that came with smaller bolts so just used them.

I am fairly certain there is zero difference between these and Zee/Saint and apparently the piston size was reported incorrectly to start with and is the same (as usual I stand to be corrected!)

Anyway I can’t imagine why you would need any more power unless it’s for full on DH Racing. I changed my disks back to 180mm from 203mm and the 183mm still feels more powerful. Also they now have modulation.

Yes I was incorrect. Looks like all shomano 4pots are the same so pick whichever’s cheapest.

The other consideration is officially Shimano only sanction the 4 pot XT calipers as compatible with the M8000 levers, not Saint or Zee. That said no doubt any of those will work fine.
