Hi folks - I have an 11 speed XT M8000 drive train on my Nomad. I want to switch to 12 speed GX. I think they take the same BB but do I need to change the rear hub? Thanks in advance for any advice!

You need a new freehub body or if there isn't one available for your wheel you'll need a new wheel. You'll also need a new bb or a gpx adaptor.

But maybe you don't have to buy a new crankset so can use existing and BB ?

Probably needs someone else to confirm or who has run it by only changing cassette, shifter, chain and rear derailleur (& freehub body if needed)

XD freehub will be required, plus 12 speed cassette, mech, shifter and chain.

Existing crank is fine. If the chainring is 1x then it'll be fine with 12 speed. The chain internal width is the same as I understand it. There may be a possibility the chainline isn't perfect, but you might not have issues with it.
