Anybody got a trashed M8000 XT shifter they can cannibalise for screws?
During maintenance today I realised my rear XT shifter was wobbling on the bars. Closer inspection revealed the (presumably) Phillips screw that holds the shifter body to the bar clamp was missing - the black hole above the lever paddles in this picture:

Digging old 9 and 10 speed shifters out of the spares box reveals that a) previous designs were more rugged, with the shifter held to the clamp by two big allen bolts on the upper side (pictured here):

and b) none of the bolts and screws from the older shifters seem to fit the current M8000 model - what a surprise!
Short term, I've pinched the larger raised screw from the cable barrel clamp area (by my thumb in the first picture), using it to hold the shifter solid relative to the bars. I might try wrapping a ziptie round that area later now it’s missing a screw, although it seems solid enough.
However, I need to track down replacement screws, hence the question at the head of the post (not holding out much hope of being able to buy spares as individual items).
Exploded view, including part numbers
sjs cycles in somerset have all kinds of parts.
Good one. I intend sourcing bolts from eBay for now, but that might come in handy later. Thanks
Here you go, based on the part no from that drawing you get this for 2.99.

Excellent! Although, looking at the above, I suspect I might've mullered the threads on the hole with the missing screw by ramming an m2.6 in where it should've been m2.5. I mean, of course, why use three screws of the same dimensions when you can make 'em different, right?
I'll get that spares set anyway, should be able to do something. Can't believe I didn't think of SJS, thanks.
Well they might have the pther part the thread goes into?
They will, in a month, for £19...
My intention is to use the new m2.6 screw to replace the one I pinched, and make sure that one I pinched stays in place in the new threads it's carved by using threadlock or something. Bah. The design's not as good as the old 9 speed XT shifter pictured above.
That looks like the gloves of a mass killer to me!
