[Closed] Xt m785 triple front mech with 105 5700 shifters... Yay or nay?

Specifically to work on a cx50 double chain set, 46/36 rings...

Anyone used this combo or something similar with any success?

Think you need a widget to make the cable pull work.

you need #7. I've used one before, on some tiagra shifters and a 9 spd triple mtb mech. Worked fine.

But TBH with 36/46 you might as well just use the 105 mech.

I have an XTR M900 front derailleur shifted by 105 5600 levers that works fine. I set the top and bottom stops and it's all good.
That's on a CX50 crankset, same as yours.

Cheers! Will give the xt a go, might pick a 105 up if it don't work!

Will not work.

105 5700 has a different cable pull ratio. Worth a try if you already have the bits but I suspect it will need a 105 mech.
