I need to replace rear mech on my Creo, shifters are Ultegra di2 sti. I have ordered a mech, and the Shimano tool for clicking the existing cable into the mech. Is there a technique to remove the wire and plug from existing mech ? I don’t want to just pull it incase I damage it !
Also once new one installed and wire connected, I assume it’ll all just talk and connect with just the limit screws and indexing to setup ?
You can pull the cable out by hand. Just grab hold of the rubber plug part. The cables are pretty strong.
the spade end of the tool is for removing the cable, it fits into an indent on the cable cap and you just pop it off.
it's plug and play, apart from the indexing etc as you mentioned.
Aha, thanks
