Ok, I'm probably being a bit dense but here goes.I'm looking at the XT brakes, which are I-spec b apparently. What does this mean? I don't need brakes to attach shifters to as I'm running sram, so would these be ok? If not I'll just get the slx ones on Merlin...

Just means they can accept I-spec b shifters if wanted. No extra bits on the lever clamp, the additional hardware comes with the shifters

The ones on offer at CRC are fine if you plan to run them stand-alone. I run mine with SRAM twist=shift. For £105 they are a fantastic set of stoppers. Really pleased with mine
