As the title says, anyone know of a approximate date for the new XT 1x11 I'm after the full drive train building a frame up.
Also the cheapest place for reverb's
Looked at Bike Discount but by the time you add postage etc there is virtually no difference from good old CRC.

Cheers
Mark

For a full group you're not likely to see it before September, maybe October.

18 bikes are quoting end of July for a full groupset, no brakes. £210 on their site not sure how that compares to CRC but give them a call to find out how confident they are on delivery?

I am ready to stand corrected but... first production starts in mid-June as far as I am aware, so allowing for 6-7 weeks in transit, the earliest you'd expect to see something is mid-August, and thats only if you happened to be in the first shipments.

Madison are showing mid to late July for the majority of it inc brakes. Some bits are quite a bit later though.

... And I should also point out that the first production will be OE, aftermarket stuff comes later. Its always the same, the dates given early get pushed by 1-2 months because when it goes up online, no-one actually knows when their manufacturing date is as yet. Anyone buying XTR11 last year will be familiar with this 😉

Anecdotal, I was in a local bike shop in Manchester area last week and asked about a single speed XT M8000 ring, the date given was October.

32T shows ETA of late July. Others sizes start of October.

Dates may shift though - none show as being confirmed yet.

Look forward to seeing it!

I've just double checked our (18 Bikes) backorders. We can only go on the dates quoted by Madison, but all our shifter/cassette/rear mech back orders are still showing as due by the end of July.

Brakes look like mid July

My 34t chainring is showing as October, maybe I'll swap to a 32t for a bit then!

If anyone has questions on the other parts (we've really only seen demand for a rear mech/cassette/shifter/chain 1x11 package) then fire me an email info@18bikes.co.uk

According to my LBS the iSpec B shifters won't be available till Jan 2016 :O( So anyone with existing brakes will have to go bar mount for shifters or upgrade their brakes as well to the new "standard iSpec."

Madison are quoting dates for individual parts now. Be interesting to know when CRC will give a date for each part or let you buy something that's out of stock for months.

Tim

I think we've just spoken Tim - I've now updated our site to show that date, having chased into it with Madison (quoted as December to us)

I Spec B - December
I Spec II - end July
Standard clamp - end July

that's me looking at dates on our backorders, I'd certainly not expect to be able to wait until July and stroll into a shop to buy these. We're expecting demand to be higher than supply.

Are brakes still quoted as mid July?

Also, when are 170mm single ring cranks and 30t chainrings expected?

They can keep all the other rubbish, I just want a shifter and a mech. Maybe just the mech.

Our brake orders are showing the same end of July date, likewise if I check the dates for chainset and 30t ring (at the moment, I've not got orders in on that ring)

Annoying but its going to be worth it for Shimano 11-speed goodness.

I have my 2015 Trance 650b in pieces around the house waiting to be built up again once the kit goes on sale, i'd hoped sooner rather than later but i'll just have to stick to the HT for several more months then, no bad thing as my riding has come on leaps and bounds this year due to loads of time spent getting back to basics on it.

I need the cassette, mech and shifter...i already have Zee brakes waiting to go on, i have an SLX triple that i'll lose the inner and outer rings to go 1x with a 30T N/W ring i got from Uberbike the other day...

...only decision is whether to go 11-40 or 11-42 on the cassette?

Brakes tend to run ... about 3 months late in my experience. You might be lucky though. Im still waiting for some brakes we ordered in November 😉

So for those of us not certain enough to pre-order, when is the cassette, mech and shifter likely to be avail? I guess once stock starts coming it comes fairly regular?

End of July if you can live with the bar mounted shifter. Next year if you want iSpec B mount.

October works out perfectly for me so long as I can nurse my current groupset through to the then as I'll have finished paying off the bike so will have no guilt spending more money on the bike!

Whatever the release date, OEM stuff will filter through at random for the big retailers
