I have a Deore XT FH-M756A rear hub and the number of engagement points are really low so big movement of pedals before anything happens.

Does anyone know if it's possible to upgrade the freehub body for increased engagement points?

Or even any hacks/bodges haha?

Nope.

Never noticed the issue myself.

I’m pretty sure it can’t be improved on, XTR might just be a bit lighter (if you can find one) I’m still running XT and not found a problem, could it be that it’s faulty? Try removing it, gently remove the seal at the back and trickling oil inside. It’s only a temporary solution though as not designed to be serviceable. Parts diagrams are available on the Shimano website so you can source a new one. Hope this helps.

Can't say I've ever found it to be a problem on my XT hubs and I did have a 765 on the rear of my first fatbike for 8 years or so. I had to replace the DT Swiss wheels on my Occam though as pick-up was crap so I know how annoying it can be.
