I'm assuming that the mid cage rear mech is the right choice with 1x11 setup?

Also will it work out OK with a NW ring on my old XT HTII M761 crankset or does it need a special chainline?

Right what am i missing here, even with the cost of replacing my freehub these are still Cheaper that X01 cassettes.

They weigh roughly 14 times more than X01, whilst having a narrower range.
