Apologies if this has been asked before.
My 9 speed Raceface Deus chainset has given up the ghost, I currently have a full XT 9 speed set up, cannot afford to get a full 10 speed groupset just now, could I just purchase a 10 speed XT double chainset and swap it with the race face chainset and keeping everything else 9 speed?
The 10 speed is cheaper now than 9 speed version and I may upgrade over the next year anyway so not much point in buying the more expensive 9 speed xt chainset if I dont have to.

It'll be fine. 9 speed chainsets will run in 10 speed systems and vice versa.
