You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've test ridden one and it was okay. A bit conservative in geometry but fun and a lot better than my outgoing bike. I can't get a ride on an XXL for comparison. I'm 6'3" with a 33" inside leg. XL or XXL? Help.
I was really disappointed with the top spec one I rode last year - it was super light and efficient but just seemed to skip over bumps and didn't feel very confidence inspiring.
You'll want the largest size as it's fairly conservative, unless you like shorter bikes.

I rode one for half hour on a demo day and found it bland. I'd just ridden an Evil Wreckoning which was great at descending and really engaging though.
I bought a Ripmo which is the best of the bunch I reckon and the XL would fit you
You would absolutely need a XXL, I have dropped you a message.
I'm about your height and I'm on and XXL tallboy which is similar in sizing at least on paper. I demoed an XL first too as that was all I could get too. Its definitely a bit more burly/stable feeling on the XXL but nothing major. I think you'd be fine on an XXL but might just come down to preference as to how you want a bike to feel.
Watching.
The xxl is on my list as I'm 6'4 and want a longer bike.
Looking at both Hightower and tallboy. Only the conservative geo ha etc is giving me concerns.
Got a demo on a Cotic flaremax tomorrow as that's another long un and slacker too which is more my thang.
Rumours are that a new hightower is imminent, been dubbed the Brotower.
I rode one and wasn't blown away, felt very average, at that price it should be amazing. The trek fuel I demoed and now subsequently own rides far better. Back end is more sensitive off the top and feels a more nimble trail bike.
Had an XL for a year (6'2" 33inch inseam) and found it to be a great fit. It had a 150mm reverb down to the collar and the saddle height was spot on.
I'd be worried that the seat tube would be too long on an XXL to get a decent sized dropper in. The best change I made was replacing the crap Monarch for a Cane Creek DbIL. The Monarch made it skip over rough stuff rather than absorbing them.
I don't think "conservative" geometry is typically a bad thing. A lot of people don't really get on with the long, low, slack thing and to be honest I never felt out of my depth on some quite steep, techy stuff on the Hightower.
Best bet is to try one as it's so subjective.
I'd wait for the imminent arrival of the new model
Compared to 20 years ago XL now was L for me 32" inside leg so I find XL ok with the saddle all the way back - I could really do with a set back seat post also
For comparison: I'm 6'8" and ride an XXL Hightower LT. I have a 36" inside leg. I use the frame with a 175mm dropper seat post and 30mm of stem spacers (to raise the bars and saddle high enough). I would still say I'm slightly too big for it, but at my height I can't be too fussy. It's still the biggest and best-fitting frame I have ever owned. Oh, and by far the nicest to ride, too!
I'm 6' 2" with a 33" inseam and demoed an XL which was spot on for size. Very underwhelmed by the bike's blandness so didn't buy one.
6' 2" is a nightmare borderline height for mtb sizing.
