Just bought some nice Halo wheels off ebay for a good price - they come with SRAM XD freehub, so have I just caused myself a whole load of expense?
They were to go on my 10x2 bike which has Shimano currently. Only 10 speed Xd cassettes I can see on CRC cost a lot more than the wheels did!
Can I replace the freehub cheaper? Or, as the wheels are labelled XD-11 are they 11spd only? Not had sram stuff before, so a bit dense in this respect.
thanking you for any advices.
Freehub should be interchangeable, somebody might be along looking for one here soon as they are quite nice and sought after 😉
Should be able to buy one, go to the Halo site for a part number and order one then sell on the XD.
Cool, sounds like a plan, thanks
Freehubs anywhere from £40-75 direct from halo depending on hub. Give them a call I've always had really good service from them, and parts usually arrive in a couple of days.
No freehubs on the Halo site that I can find. Wheels are flipping superb, but looks like a rebuild onto a new hub or move em on.... Stupid bloody changing tossing standard rubbish mtb irritating manufacturer bALLZ!

None on this page?
Having run XD much prefer it though, good step forward
Blimmin hell - I've been looking on halowheels.com, not .co.uk and they didn't have that on there! Looks promising! "6 Drive Shimano freehub" is what I need.
To stick with XD, I believe it's 11/12 spd only though? so I'd have to change gears n everyfing.
Thanks Mike.
