Can anyone recommended some tyres for xc and trail centre riding, that aren't too heavy, have a reasonable volume and are relatively low cost? (i know this is probably wishful thinking!)
I am running DT 5.1D rims (Hope Hoops) on a 2008 Kona Dawg Deluxe and really need something a bit lighter and that will roll well on and off road - basically a good all rounder.
Do you know if i can run Maxxis Ignitor XC 2.1 tyres or will these not fit the rims?
2.1 Maxxis Advantage are a decent tyre
These are a decent buy -

Nobby Nic front / Ralph rear is a good combo in 2.25 variety (until it gets too muddy then the Ralph struggles on the rear)
+1 on the Advantage 2.25 still rolls great.
thanks for your input nenija and jeffus.
Just ordered a pair of Maxxis Advantage 2.25 60a tyres from Chain Reaction for my Dawg, looking forward to testing them out at the weekend!
cheers

I find I get a lot of thorn punctures in my advantages, seemingly more so than in any other tyre I've ever used. 2.1 folding variety, probably cheap though so that may be the reason (low TPI or something)
