Good morning all, currently riding and selling a Whyte T130rs but looking to change to a 29er full suss with 120-140mm travel as my riding is more suited to longer rides with a bit of fun in between. I’m finding the Whyte a bit demanding on longer rides compared to my mates stumpy 29er elite alloy (would buy one if I could find one) just open to suggestions if u don’t mind please

Unfortunately they have stopped making it now and getting hold of an rs or scr is nearly impossible for something in half descent condition. Definatly on My list tho..

If your wallet is nice and plump i'd be looking at the new Scott Spark in the 120mm flavour.

Specialized Camber or Scott Spark would fit the bill quite nicely.
With a plumper wallet there is the Santa Cruz Tallboy, Pivot 429 Trail, Evil, Intense, Yeti all have 120mm ish options.

Jeffsy 29. The nearest thing to a do-it-all bike I've ever ridden. It's at no disadvantage on the ups or the flats compared to my Anthem or XTC, and it is incredibly capable on stuff with more gnarr.

Orange Segment is worth a look especially as there's some great deals about right now. Check out Sunset MTB. Love mine, supremely capable.

Or the new Stage 4 and 5 if you have deep pockets.

Giant Anthem would fit the bill.

Thanks for all the reply’s peeps I have been looking at the Scott 930 full suss 2017 model but having never ridden a Scott I wasn’t too sure. Going to take a look at the Jeffsy too now.. my pockets aren’t that deep going to limit at £3000.

How tall are you?

I have one last 2017 Occam 29er in the basement:

It's a large, can do it for £2999 as a STW special, new and unused with lifetime frame warranty. Very light and a whole lot of fun.

I've got a SC Tallboy which fits the bill (or the longer travel High Tower if you prefer). Loads of bike and really versatile, although you might struggle to squeeze it under £3k.

The TB3 takes 27.5+ too, which gives another angle of versatility. Or, as I suggested to my wife, it's like two bikes in one, which therefore means I should get double the budget to spend on it... 🙂

Jeffsy sounds spot-on if you get on with the sizing.

Canyon Neuron might be worth a look too, the 2018 AL 8.0 looks decent.
