I have some Fox F29 (Float/FIT) 100mm forks, with a TF-Tuned sticker, I bought off the forum used from some kind soul awhile back. In my typical style I managed to wait way too long to service them - and have now also completely stripped one of the brake mount threads.
In case it’s not obvious - I’m useless at fork servicing. So my question is - before I go to local bike shop and ask same question, what’s the STW Massive’s opinion: have them serviced plus helicoiled at the shop, or buy whatever the latest deal on slightly older generation forks?
If the latter, what is the current best deal on non-boost, 100mm 29er (tapered if poss, but can and am currently using an adaptor), 15mm axel forks?
