So rear mech's broke. Had only done about 50K miles in the last 5 years ;-(

Jocky wheel's are almost round 😉

So while I think of a reason to work in Leeds for the day so I can get to Evan's (£52 X7 Halfords v £36 Evans). Can anyone help me in terms kif is it worth paying the extra for X9. I'm not worried about weight at all and have one bile for off road and commute etc i.e. don’t really look after it.

So is it worth the extra for X9 ?

Sure there are better offers than evans on the interweb but I really want to be up and running for the commute on Tuesday.

Bit more than that but thanks, that was just a sign of how well used it is...

Bent the cage and snapped one side...

I've had X7 X9 and now got X0. i think X9 is nearly, if not as good as X0 (think X0s just lighter) X9 is noticeably better than X7 i'd say. How much i'm not sure. I'd say X9 seems to clunk into gear nicer. My X0 seems to have been perfect for months and months with no fettling whatsoever. So if you could get a good price on X9, I'd say it'd be a worthwhile upgrade.

Got x7 on one bike, x9 on the other. The fact I can't remember which is which without going to check probably means there's not an awful lot of difference once you're actually riding.
