What with the xd driver body and the lack of lock ring, do I still need to use a chain whip (along with the nut thingy) to remove the cassette?
I'm going mad here. Please help before I unleash a potentially expensive amount of force!!
Sram are usually pretty good for putting How To... guides on YouTube. Tried there?
Treat it just like a normal cassette.
Hold the main sprockets with chain whip and use cassette tool in the splines, it's a captive adjuster and the whole cassette will come off in one.
Just use your standard Shimano/Sram lockrig tool and the standard chain whip. The centre of the spider spins independantly from the rest of the cassette.
Quite clever when you see it off the bike.
Took me a few minutes to work out how you were supposed to thread it on and down the splines at the same time!
Cheers. I figured it must be p!ss easy since I couldn't find any 'how to's online!
For some reason I thought it was magically done without a whip 🙄
Magically done without a whip! LOL. Naaaa, it`s quite basic really, just the same as allways,
But i think it`s quite clever!
