Wondered if anybody on the forum has a bike with X Fusion suspension fitted or upgraded to any X Fusion parts?
Both the forks and shocks seem to get good reviews but would be interested in hearing about any owner's experiences.

d,

I have an O2 190mm x 50mm travel shock.

It has no adjustable rebound or compression, just a plain air pressure spring.

It works, no fuss and no problems over 2 years.

Bought new for a song off ebay.

Yes, I will definitely get another.

I had 3 Magura Odins....they all squelch...a recognised 'feature' and told by Magura UK (as was) that they all do that, but for £50 I can get a service exchange for a new one that will squelch too.
Customer service, nothing like it, hey!

I look forward to this thread to read of fork experience as I do fancy a pair.

I had an X-Fusion rear shock. It was ok, but the Float RP2 that replaced it was a massive improvement.

In the market for a 150mm or 160mm fork but find the £700+ price of a Fox 36 to be a little ridiculous....the X Fusion Vengeance seems like a comparative bargain at £500.

That's a bit harsh. It's a massive improvement over the likes of Suntour, RST etc

skywalker,

Thanks for keeping the prices low.

Seriously, what X-Fusion experience have you to put on the table?

Fair enough, but have you considered secondhand? While forks aren't as cheap as they used to be (I picked up a great set of Revs secondhand for under £200 a couple of years ago), it's still a good way to go.

You get what you pay for, and for that price I would be paying for Fox.

You can get 2011 Float 32 R's for £340 if you look hard enough

skywalker is probably driving a Jaguar X type happy that he got what he paid for as opposed to a cheap Mondeo or something......

I've no experience of X Fusion but what's to stop them making something good? About 10 years ago there was this company called Fox making suspension forks like Rock Shox and no one was sure about them.

The Vengeance fork looks alright, but if you shop around you can often pick up a 36 or Lyrik for £500 so the X Fusion fork doesn't look so much of a bargain then.

There are probably not enough about yet for us to see them discounted much, but who knows what will happen...

Got Float 32's on the bike at the moment, i'd like thicker/stiffer stanchions without paying £700 for a set of 36's....the X Fusion Vengeance forks are 36mm so just wondered if anybody on here has any?

There seems to a gaping hole in the Rockshox lineup, 150mm revs are 32mm, if you want bigger stanchions then its Totems or Lyriks....both of which are massively heavier than Fox's Float 36.

I think the above responses indicate the scale of X-fusions challenge.

Basically there doesn't appear to be anything much wrong with their products, but it seems people have such a monster hard-on for Fox forx that they'd rather spank a big wadge on an out of warranty old fork with the right name scrawled down the leg than a new X-fusion...

I installed an X Fusion Velvet RL into my hardtail last week. I've only been for one ride so far but I was very impressed.

I changed from Fox F100's with QR to 15mm bolt through with 130mm travel. The difference was noticeable, mainly the stiffness. But suspension feel was just as good as before.

After one ride I've obviously got no idea about longevity or servicing.

For some reason I really fancy a pair of 140mm 15mm bolt through Velvets on my ht new build - not sure why.

Looked around the web and the reviews are all very positive so I might take a punt on them - it's not like they're megabucks.

Agreed, but the Lyrik has been around for years now so maybe they do have something in the pipeline.

I think I read that Fox are doing a 34mm fork for 26in bikes (as well as their existing 29er fork).

An RS fork with 34mm stanchions, 160mm travel, Blackbox damping like on my Rev and a 20mm maxle lite would be a fantastic alternative to the Bos Deville that I can't afford.

The word from people who have actually ridden them, is that they are damm good. Seems they have come a long way in the last two years.

Don't bother listening to people spouting shite, when they haven't even tried the product.

I love how you totally contradicted yourself there 😆

Forks, no.

Anyone calling someone else 'Matey' in a condescending manner and taking forum name from camp Starwars character, laughable...

Reasonable basic shock, but there's no recognisable midstroke so if I get the sag right then ounce it uses about 75-80% travel. Works well though, not had a problem with it in the year I've had it, perfectly adequate.

Forks, no.

I said suspension, not forks.

Coming from someone that takes his forum name from a cut of meat, writing an intelligent post is obviously too much to ask 😆

I think they'll gradually gain popularity and respect and in a few years be on everyone's list of options for new forks. It seems they are making big investment and really producing products that do compete with the big names. The price difference isn't due to low quality materials or components but more to get established into a very difficult market. They have come a long way in the last couple of years and I hope continue to grow.
