Morning All

Anyone done a lower service on a McQueen fork before? Trying to release the air spring shaft from the lowers and it looks like it might be threaded into the lower Rockshox stylee as well as having the external nut securing it.

I don't want to keep whacking it just in case.

Cheers

There are some fork servicing videos on their website and all of them show the air/damper shafts needing a hammer whack.

Yeah I'd seen those but the clearance looked so tight I thought it might be threaded into the lowers too.

No matter, done it now. I grew a pair, put an old socket over the footnut and whacked it with a hammer instead of a mallet. It's only secured by the footnut, as all their other forks are.

Cheers
