I'm considering buying a set of X-Fusion Trace RL2 DLA 110-140mm forks.

Does anyone know if the DLA feature allows the forks to be run at any travel between 110mm and 140mm or can you just have 110mm or 140mm?

Cheers,
Matt

The DLA on my Vengeance was either up or down iirc - however, the damper kept failing, locking them down at reduced travel. I was advised to swap them for non-DLA under warranty

I know there have been a lot of problems with DLA on X-Fusion forks. Not sure if they've been solved now though.

Get the ordinary Trace. I've had one for two years. I really like it, it hasn't misbehaved and it performs well.

i have that fork, its a straight change either 110 or 140mm not incremental. I do use the DLA on steep long climbs or roads/tracks but if i didn't have it i wouldn't miss it particularly.
No problems to report and had the fork 2 yrs, not that sophisticated but very good value fit and almost forget fork!

I have some X-Fusion Sweeps and it's my understanding that any X-Fusion fork can be set at any 10mm increment in its travel if you know what you're doing and are happy to take a fork apart?

Is DLA like U-turn or TALAS in that it can be done during the ride?....the videos on YouTube I've seen show the standard RL2 damper being adjusted in 10mm increments....in other words you can buy a 160mm Sweep and change it to 150mm, 140mm, 130mm, 120mm etc if you're handy with the tools and feeling brave.

Abigale has the Slants and has had problems with the DLA, they were converted to fixed under warranty and have been fine since

You can't do that on the DLA models.

DLA means you can turn a knob on top of the fork and have (in this case) 140 or 110mm.

FWIW I've found Xfusion forks to be great, and the DLA system works very well... certainly much better than TALAS I've had previously.

Found the X-fusion Velvet to be very very reliable.
