Been riding at the Wyre Forest probably 4 times now (i'm a local), exploring some trails near the north side towards button oak. found some decent fast xc runs but nothing too difficult. Wondering if anyone knows the hardest/steepest/most fun trail in the forest and a rough explanation on how to get there from any fire roads/cycle path/ bridleways or stops on the butterfly trail like coopers mill.
Cheers
I can’t remember any trails that were particularly difficult in the Wyre- I could ride them all which says something 😊
Bit since I’ve been though
3 bears opposite Camber was the steepest, but short and straight
There used to be the caravan run which run directly under the caravan park.
Apparently loads of new trails up there since I ride last.
ive heard about 3 bears but im not sure if ive ridden it accidently without knowing, does it end at a stream, near coopers mill?
I think so
Then concrete path up the hill, turn left to do it again
ok thansk i have ridden that. saw a couple lads in dh gear last time i was up so i was wondering if there was anything more extreme than the end of 3 bears with the rock drop.
How's it riding at the moment? Thinking of heading over on Sunday for the first time. How hard to find is the good stuff?
Went walking around there today, it’s a quagmire.
If you really must then just look at the strava heat maps for trails
Hmm, might give it a miss then.
It’s winter and it’s the wyre forest. If you like the ability to actually keep your wheels rotating, literally go anywhere else!!
Came up on my feed, as I like to check for new track (2 on this I’ve not ridden), t’is looking sloppy
