I've been riding in the Wyre Forest for quite few years. As yet I've not ventured over to the very westernmost parts (Neenshill Coppice, Coachwood Coppice, Nailings Coppice Maplass Wood etc) almost as far as Cleobury Mortimer. Anyone have any info or experience of this parts of the woods?

Not been in any of them, but the g/f briefly looked at using a stables over that way, and it was implied the local (horse obv) riding was those woods.

Some good riding in the Wyre we tend to go in from Buttonoak to save the slog out of Bewdley.

This time of year though a lot of it is a bog, better to leave it until the place dries out.

Not sure how much is privately owned over that way, I know the Brand Wood area isn't but the other side of the road (Sturt Farm) is.

Further West than that not sure!!

I'm the same, not been west of the road across Sturt Common on my bike. There are a few signs along the road from Far Forest to Cleobury, by the locked, gated entrances to woodland, which indicate private woodland . Never really tire of Wyre proper, but probably worthy of further investigation at some point.

There are still dry (ish) trails in Wyre, mostly on the higher ground in the north eastern corner, but still a case of using a lot of fire road, or stony stuff to access them.
Anything close to the brook though, or approaching it from the Callow Hill side is truly hideous and , rightly, best left alone for a bit.
It's fair to say, though, that "Dobbin" and his mates have well and truly hoofed up miles of otherwise decent stuff.
The harvesting machines have put paid to a few spots too.

My local woods. Best thing to do is just ride. Check strava for the area, you'll be shocked at the amount of trails. Yeah, as others have said, it's claggy muddy clay, oh and boggy. Pm me if you want any other info, don't wanna say to much on a public board as we're honoured that we can ride, and don't have any hassle from landowners.
