http://www.dyfimountainbiking.org.uk/ has been down for a little while now which was where I was hoping to get GPX files of the routes to stick on my Garmin 800.

I found this site that has GPX files for three routes:
http://www.mudandroutes.com/archives/routes/mach-1-mountain-bike-trail-by-daveroberts-13112011
http://www.mudandroutes.com/archives/routes/mach-2-mountain-bike-trail-by-daveroberts-13112011
http://www.mudandroutes.com/archives/routes/mach-3-mountain-bike-trail-by-daveroberts-13112011

I also found this site which seems to give similar routes but not the same:
http://hosty.org/Brian%20and%20Charlotte/Mountain%20Biking/Wales/Machynlleth/

Then I also found this map (which I think maybe from the dyfimountainbiking site originally) which seems to tally more with the "Brian and Charlotte" site but again it's not exactly the same.

I was hoping that someone could either tell me which is correct?
Or which might be the better routes to follow?
Or if anyone has the definitive routes that I'm after?

The map certainly shows 'the routes' but I believe that bits of the Mach3 and possibly 2 were getting re-routed/signed but I don't think that's happened yet.

You weren't thinking of coming this weekend were you? Parts of the 3 will be a cold, snowy death march 😉

I heard about the rerouting but decided if they weren't actually publicising that yet then there wasn't much I could do about getting hold of those routes. 🙂

Up until last night I was hoping to jump on the train and ride mach 1 and 2, Tuesday next week. I'm not so sure that's a good idea now though. Might just hit the Long Mynd instead and try Machynlleth in a couple of weeks when I have more midweek days off. 🙂

Rode Mach 1/2 last week. All the signs have been taken down, you will need a map.

ring up the holy trail in mach. they have maps of the trails for sale for a small fee which goes towards trails maintenance (unlike gpx files) 😉

It's not too hard to navigate if you have an os with the route on or the above map printed off. First time that I rode it coincided with a weekend that they took down all the sign posts! Admittedly we did get lost toward the end and wound up doing a bit of an ace cheeky descent!
