It's that time again.
The weekend ride pictures thread.
Ride ya bike.
Point your phone vaguely at it all.
Post them up with a few words.
Every kind of weather imaginable for me this morning.
1600 meters of descent on a solo mission.
Good way to kick off my weekend.

You forgot wind!
It was only windy on the open hill so it doesn't count.😏

Commute home must count as the start of the weekend. My first bike commute of the year and a big moon over the sea.
Got home with just about enough time to squeeze in a Friday night ride. All a bit rushed - so much so that things started to go a bit abstract! Still good enough to clear my head ready for the weekend though.
Didn't quite fit the theme of the thread either as very little weather here in The Shire right now...
Mini mooch this morning...wasn't intending on a pedal but saw the colour of the sky and thought, let's get out 😁

I had 3.5hr Z2 road planned and was all happy with the reported weather showing 3 degrees as of last night, only to wake to frost everywhere. I made a cautious start though….

…and ended up at 3:49 and 98k. That’ll do for a Saturday, just enjoying a poached eggs on Sourdough recovery lunch now. Happy days.
Bit fresh, but lovely around Fox House above Sheffield this morning.
Only pic - random pic my mate took of me unawares. Not sure what I was contemplating 🤣

…and ended up at 3:49 and 98k.
I'd have cycled round the block a few times.to get it to 100!
Went for an explore on the fun bike yesterday. Peel Tower, Scout Moor, Crag Quarry.

Another 1000+ meters ticked off.
Rode a new to us trail too which was rather good fun.
No idea why it's named after a frog though.

Does. Not. Compute.
What's a not fun bike
Oh, do you own a road bike? 😉

🤣 sorry should have said cheat bike 🤣
40 miles on the gravel bike with BW, FP, Canals and a bit of Road thrown in with Mark and Martin
Oh and trying out my new GRX groups, which worked a treat. 😀

just a gentle ride to the parents house. Stopped off at a brick wall for a mini photoshoot.

A tour of Midlothian reservoirs on road, gravel and singletrack. What you can't see is the monster headwind. Broken.

2 ups, 2 downs, 1 lie down (lapse of concentration on the easiest, non rocky bit fortunately), 3,225ft, 24 miles.

No weather to speak of, but a local lap in the mud this afty.

This was supposed to be a fantastic sunset of yellows, pinks and reds after a short blast around my favourite Surrey Hill but my bike still appears to be the most garish thing in the photo.

Checking what Isha and Jocelyn had been up to in our local woods

Just a local lanes and schloppy gravel here this morning. It wasn't cold! And it didn't rain! Don't get me wrong, it's midwinter up here, but it's only a few weeks to (whisper) spring...
Also saw my first snowdrops.
Quick morning spin in Peaslake. Sunrise - unfortunately not photographed - was lovely

Good job.
I've done a fair bit of trail clearing over the last three days including a half hour four person stint to move a fallen tree from totally blocking a trail today.
The old side of glentress is a lot more quiet these days.

No one at spooky wood when I arrived, only a few people seen whilst having a snack. New trails must attract a load of people now
Solo HT ride today for a bit of 'normal bike' fitness. Still blowing it off my arse. You'd think a month off the booze and fags would be making a big difference. Some more winter miles for the summer smiles needed!!
Bumped into a few others I know at the top of a techy DH that I've never had the confidence to try. Made myself follow them down and it was fine - even though I was riding clipped in again for the first time in a while. Lovely morning for it.
Only stopped to get the phone out once, so all in the same place

No photos but a bit of trail clearing at bowhill. Some big chunky stuff down but they've been out and done a lot of chopping so lots cleared already.
@aide I figured that's probably the case. I quite look forward to riding the quiet trails!
Wiltshire briddleway near Bratton Camp White Horse

Cold and breezy above Macc Forest. Plenty of people out and about. Pleasingly dry in woods!

Gravel ride from Dunkeld and it didn't rain.

Made some new friends while schlepping around the Forest...

Eastern edge of the Peak is drying out quite nicely. Bit breezy but nice day out.

Still not much weather round here. Another Sunday morning playing dodge the muddy bits round the local.
In other news, saw an elderly lady shamelessly taking a dump followed shortly by a guy Heimliching his partner to dislodge a poorly swallowed sweet. No pics of either thankfully...

Yep, I was expecting more slop. Stanton is always dryish, but the descents were much grippier than expected
Still carrying a slight cough so kept it flat again today and head north for a gentle 56km loop following Thames tributaries I'd worked out in Komoot.
Urban 'gravel' 😀
Bit of hike a bike under the Thames
Somewhere in Docklands...
The actual marsh in Hackney Marshes
Greenwich from the North.
Another beautiful day here in Liguria.

1st out of 78 for the boy
Went up the pump track for the first time in ages yesterday morning. It's either been too dark, too wet, too windy, or icy since October. Took me a few goes round to get the feel of it again bit by the time I left I was clearing the gaps same as usual. Happy that I haven't lost the technique.

Local trail ride today. A pretty meaty one 53Km and 1200m climbing/descending. It was great.
Trails were a mixed bag, some mud about but a lot better than expected. Also the local jump spot has had a significant amount of building work over the winter. Didn't hit much of it today (it was nearly dark), but I'm really looking forward to learning the new lines.
No photos of the jumps unfortunately (too dark) but they're works of art.

20 ish miles of gravel around coniston and langdale, glorious
@singlespeedstu, where's the froggy trail if I may ask? Always keen to ride new things if its ok to share location..
Lovely, up towards Decade? Only ride there once a year but I do enjoy it, welcome change from some of the other valley options. Thanks!
Yeah Decade/DH upper start.
Head down DH Upper and turn first left.
Local one, Terrible action shot included'

Crisp Friday night ride under an almost full moon

And a Sunday session at Twisted Oaks with mates

Did a mixed loop from Heb, it was amazingly dry for January, but windy on the top of the moors. Taken from Shackleton Moor looking down Crimsmworth Dean
It wasn't me.
Local trails with our visitors from down south.
