Weekend Ride Picture Thread.
You know the score post some pics of your rides and say a few words about it.
Hungover to **** this morning due to being nobbled by the local brewery owner last night...
Managed 1600 Meters/35KM of a mix of trail center and handcut stuff at GT.
Forgot to take any pics due to said hangover so here's a picture of the ride instead.

A wander over the moor. Grip at times was hilariously low! I think I’ve got my best winter set up. Ti frame, mudguards, hope for all the bearings and Peatys lube. Worked really well.
warmer than expected too!

Please pictures of rides - today has been cleaning in microscopic detail all of a son's riding gear, bike and hiking gear ready for NZ customs on Tuesday....and his kit was filthy! One pair of shoes took a soak and two washing machine goes...

I forced myself out on the gravel bike today to test the new Sonder bomber bars. They were a revelation. So much more comfy and confident in the drops.
It's been a bastard of a week in the workshop, really hard, not helped but having a shitty virus that's wiped me out! Last night I was in bed, asleep, at 6:45pm and woke up at 7am!
But the ride today (80 mins) was what I needed, fresh air, countryside, and quiet!
Yesterday was depressingly wet and grey. So I headed to some all-weather trails today, to avoid having to suffer through deep mud in any natural trails. Ended up being an excellent ride indeed!
(By the way, I did revive an older weekend ride photos thread, since I didn’t see that anyone had initiated a new one).

30 miles on the single speed today. Powered by fig rolls and wine gums!
Few trees down courtesy of Bert. Wonder if they made a sound or not when they fell?
That's half of a flat white covering my bike. IYKYK.
Quantocks yesterday visibility was a bit hmmm , was determined to go after watching the Rider Resilience film plus a chance to try out my £38 Alpine Stars bargain onesie!
@Tom83 I wore it on the EBike, temperature was about 9/10 degrees it was perfect. I should imagine at that temperature non EBike it would run hot but I knew that when I bought it and at £38 ! Sports Pursuit made a cock up with the price .It's got pit zips and adjustable cuffs so plenty of ventilation. Quality zips , pockets of the same material not mesh and The bonus for me is because it's old stock it was made before manufacturing had to change for environmental reasons so it's actually waterproof material rather than DWR nonsense. So far so impressed .
@singlespeedstu How are the diversions at GT at the minute? Do you still have to climb up Pennel's Vennel to access the area of Thunderstruck, Careless Whisper, etc?
Saturday morning the boys have their regular coaching crew rides. Eldest an away trip that got diverted to another location due to rain. They ended up at the spot where Jack Moir did his last YT vid.
Meanwhile we took the younger up to Noosa...but it was torrential so that got canned. We snuck off to another favourite location and did our first ride together for ages which was muddy, soaking wet but a lot of fun.

More rain today....until 3pm so just got out for a couple of hours of wet road and gravel. Mist in the mountains and a smile on my face.

Loving having an ebike 4,000ft climbing , 26 miles, that would have been a big day out back in the days when I was young and fit !
Llandegla yesterday 😉

Quick scoot about in Tiree waiting for the ferry yesterday.

Some lovely pics this week, can't compete with tiree and the shots of Craig Arder are brilliant, I must ride that. Pennine mud aplenty today, over blackwood common and Norland moor way.
An easy bimble round Cleeve Hill with the hound led me to this point;

Feel like this was inevitable with all my riding mates on 'full fat' bikes for a while. Really happy so far as it feels like a really good trail bike (stump jumper evo! ) that happens to have a motor - not dominated by it.
Early days but as long as I put the work in (and that's always been my intent) then the range, even without a range extender seems to be perfectly adequate too.
Can't wait to get all my nice bits swapped over and have it specced 'just right' for me.

£3k Levo SL Comp Carbon
Pissed it down all morning so I had a lie in. Then I treated myself to cleaning the toilets.
While I was cleaning the toilets the sun started come out. Had lunch (I washed my hands first!) then headed out on the gravel bike.
It was absolutely glorious! Mild and sunny. Had a great time. Bit sloppy in the trails, but that didn't matter at all ?

Bonus one of me modelling my £38 onesie. Seems good, well made. Not used it yet. Looking forward to some proper filthy weather to try it out in.

Embraced the slop today and had great fun sliding down various local woods on the boneshaker...the clean up jobs still a bloody faff though! Getting back into this bike now after spending most of the year on the full suss.
Scottish holiday here so it's still the weekend. No riding for me, decided to do some local trail maintenance (took a day and a half), seen this tree last weekend......

End of day 1/start of day 2 ....

Trail cleared, thankfully another person arrived to give me a hand moving the trunk.....

Trail cleared....

Getting too old for hand saws, need to get a chainsaw or something

(When did it become a thing that it's only 5 pictures you can post?)
Great pics this week!
I got the CX bike built back up and treated it to some extra skinny, extra slippy local riverside trails on Saturday, riding with CycleCrieff.
Don't know if I was just well rested, maybe the ground was extra firm beneath a skin of slop, or maybe it was a freshly cleaned chain and application of Silca Synergetic, but bike felt fast!

^ooh, a few years since I pedalled that route area. I must go back.
Let me know when you do Matt, I've got multiple routes of this ilk to tick off over winter, all the stuff that's too overgrown in summer!
Also have some loops from Stirling, BoA and Dunblane to tick off, generally singletrack heavy gravel routes.
