It's the weekend ride picture time again.
Ride your bike.
Take some pics.
Post them up with a few words.
1000meters/20km with Mrsstu and her brother.
Nice photos Stu. I did go out for a short ride, but took no photos. I should have been thinking about this upcoming thread!
Solo ride for me again today. Chilly at first, but it soon warmed up. Weather was perfect, trails were riding amazingly. Puddles after all the rain we've had, but nothing too bad.
This is my favourite time of year to ride, for sure.
Took the hardtail. Right choice. Weather "not as advertised". Reintroduced myself to wet feet, slick roots, mud patches and - after six months off the BFE - my knees 🙂 Great fun tho and the "flem-engine" has enough umph to get me round 🙂
Quiet roads and gravel from Aberfoyle to Drymen for lunch and back to Aberfoyle. The annual chase the non cyclist on her bike ride.
Back out in the Abondance valley, near chatel, for a week. The weather is lousy, but I couldn’t resist heading out to try to find some more local trails. And I managed to find a peach - made by some of the locals. Just wonderful - although the wet conditions made it super challenging.
A ride on local trails for me this morning and they seem to be holding up well after the recent rain and wind. There's still plenty of fungus. These ones almost seemed to glow.
Then I had a wildlife encounter while washing the bike.
What the hell is WRPT?
Weekend ride picture thread. Caught the last few rays of BST this evening. Chilly but trails in good nick.
Didn't take any pics on the ride, but had been contemplating analogue or eeb. A mate decided to come so we chose eeb.
Glad we did as I'd have worn less clothes on the normal bike. It was bloody freezing and blowing a gale on the tops. Felt very wintery. Back in the valley and it was a lovely autumnal day
22.5 mile local loop with a couple of pints in Bakewell and a couple in Darley Bridge. Both had battery anxiety at the end - the cold is definitely denting range
The Kenevo still cuts it though. 28kgs in its current state, but rides as well as my Levo. Getting on for 7 years old and has caused me zero issues
Don’t think I’d be able to ride a bike after 4 pints 🍺, not even an e-bike 😁

🤣 The first two were Peroni
Friday afternoon a hot flat and consequently short gravel ride. I felt utterly drained.
Saturday rode with another Dad while the kids were coached. He's unnecessarily fit and it was unreasonably hot. Good fun though and set me up for an afternoon of beer tasting.
Sunday was even hotter. I couldn't face riding while Reeksy1 was being trained to be a coach so I walked and jogged (and sweated) for 2 hours instead.
Sunday night and I've got a cold beer while the thunder storms roll in. 🍻

Up before the sun today, frosty on the tops and ice on the massive puddles that’ll be here until the next drought. There were far too many loose dogs around but not too many people.
One advantage of no gear and no idea is that after a quick chain wipe and oil I am sitting down with toast and coffee.
There are some deer on one of the pictures!
Had a really enjoyable ride today - still searching for new routes in the Abondance valley. This ride had everything (for me). A bit of adventure, stream crossings, great views, and some super trails back lower down, below the Snowline.
Opened the curtains to ice on the car and a nice looking morning.....that lasted until I got the bike out. Haven't ridden in conditions like this for some time, I would rate it somewhere between dreich and grim, hefty cold showers with drizzly intervals. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Saw a couple of fast gravelers with minimal cold/wet weather gear going the other way, and a lone hardtail rider on dukes cut, otherwise not many folk out on the tops.
Gravel and tarmac ride in Kinross-shire. Drenched! Dog walk this afternoon then the fire is going on
A rainy morning at Tarland Trails with my mate Chris this morning. I think we were two out of 4 non eBike riders out today. They were out in force! Kinda jealous as the climb is a slog! Really nice trails though, especially the reds. Not my usual style of riding but I think that added to the fun.
My weekend started on Thursday at Cwmcarn, then Friday at BPW, FoD yesterday and a local road ride this morning. Wales was wet and windy, as you'd expected.
Fab sunny if chilly morning around the dyke. Great visibility out to the Isle of Wight (think that's whitecliff bay in the distance in pic 3). trying to remember my layering strategy for climbs and headwinds. I haven't fitted my ugly guard yet either, which meant getting razzed while failing to negotiate a fast cowpie slalom at the bottom of the dyke

Top photos in the thread this week!
Autumnal ride round the local this morning. legs and lungs weren't really feeling it, so pootle and play was the order of the day.
Plenty of fungus still around to distract me from riding again, but not gone through those images yet.
As local as i can get this weekend, my nearest hill.
Trails are starting to disappear underneath all the leaves and mud is back. So is a few sniper roots i forgot about over the summer.
Laps on Old Bobs at FoD with my lad today. He's really coming along since we started riding on it at the start of the year. It's great so see. Maybe on to the blues soon.
Lots of fly agaric all over the place:
