You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
It's the Weekend Ride Picture Thread again.
Ride your bike.
Take some pics.
Post them up with a few words.
Back lanes and tracks for us this morning as I've done enough bike washing this week already.
30 miles some donkeys and a pub lunch on the way home.

First spin out on my £92.99 jump & pump bike yesterday. Forgot how much hard work pump tracks can be - aching today!

Grim out, 30 knot easterly’s and the boggy slop everywhere.

Quick Friday night spin round the woods to shake the week out of my head. Bit of magic realism photography shenanigans helped with that too (loving today's riding selfie)!
A nice spin around East Devon today.
Lots of Singletrack, a smattering of jumpy trails, lots of muddy loam, and a very sketchy bridge...

out for a short ride with Sophie.

Lovely 20 mile loop on the canal from West Bromwich to Birmingham and back through Great Barr. The council building is stunning, the picture doesn't do it justice. There was group of older BMXers having a pint, well they were my age, shit when did I get old? The bikes were clean & shiny, shame the pictures are compressed so much.
Out on my birthday ride and ANBD (almost new bike day).
Technically, i bought the bike before christmas when the price was low and the XL was in stock but not ridden bar a quick shakedown so I'm claiming it as my birthday pressie. Replaces my 8 year old Yeti sb6c.

It's been pretty dry this week but parts are still anbiggy mess down here in the Surrey borders. I've been ill so took the chance for a chilled out ride on the gravel bike.
My bargain Wiggle Fizik winter shoes did a good job though, even had a little paddle in a stream to try and clean them off and still had dry feet

Suffolk Gravel X yesterday - sun was out as was the Scott Scale for a change due a mechanical on the Revolt during last week. It managed fine but I missed the Revolt on the flatter gravel and road sections.
A variety of bikes and riders:
Weather and scenery were great.
Took Friday off so Her Outdoors and I could spend some time together without the kids. Great long walk in the rainforest

Took the kids to our local spot for endless jumps today.

sometimes you've just gotta get out, however unattractive the weather 😬

I did get very wet feet, the tide was high and an onshore wind made sure of that!
I've long threatened to pedal south on the Pennine Bridleway/towpaths from home in Hebden to Castleton, stop over in the hostel and pedal home by Cutgate, Dunford Bridge and Marsden. So Friday was the day. Son came with me as far as Diggle - by then i'd been blown over once and we'd been blown to a standstill up by readycon res. Diggle Chippy saved us, he went over the tops(!) to Marsden and home, I carried on down the canal to NewMills, where I decided I didn't have the daylight or the energy to go over Roych Clough and Rushop edge, so I got on the train to Hope. Next day the wind was still steady from the east, so rather than heading into it, I went west over Rushop/Roych Clough to Hayfield then Peak Forest, Ashton and Rochdale Canals home. The head wind from Manchester home was harsh, but it was dry and I had a pretty good ride - loved the Rushop/Roych clough bits which id not done before, though I could've done with my dropper instead of a saddle pack...
I'm "stage support" on a student mates Enduro race, currently awaiting the first riders into the 'special stage' finish...
And no I didn't choose it.

Was too hungover to ride when it was dry yesterday, so went out in the rain this morning 🙄
Picture of a bike in the wet woods.

Top stuff @gallowayboy - those kind of antics are right up my street 🙂
Anyway for us it was a trip to Dalby Off Piste yesterday. Some muddy bits but also plenty of it was running prime.
Accidentally sent it off a fairly sizeable drop I've not done before (5 foot ish from top to bottom) into a rather janky rutted landing.
Rode it out in some sort of style. Win!

Another 30mm of rain yesterday but my weekend extended so I rode a loop from home

@davy90, who organised that? Looks like the sort of thing I'm after, was it UKCE?
Spring like conditions on Saturday, so had an explore with MrsReady of the "secret" trails at Brandon. Very little elevation, but some really nice trails and a LOT more fun than the official Thetford trails over the road.
