Well. This could be the shortest / most frustrating WRPT seeing as photo uploading still seems borked!

I'm starting off with Thursday night's 45km SS ride with a mate. Moon was out. Trails running great.

And then today, after various heavy lifting jobs, I headed up to Stainburn for a few laps ...

Well - sort of worked. But harder than it needed to be ...

Didn't ride yesterday, but cleaned the fleet. Hopefully out today and tomorrow. Going for a walk up Padley Gorge this morning with the camera before riding though

No idea how to just show one photo - edited the long bb code down to the first /URL] 🤷

Had a day off yesterday, and a friend and myself went biking. We found fab new (to us) trails, and I managed to ride a drop off that I’d never managed before. And it didn’t rain. What a great day.

First visit to Dalbeattie Forest since April and it was good to see the routes had been cleared following the spring carnage.

I nearly didn’t recognise the slab with no trees around it but it looked nice and dry for a change.

back to the caravan for a lovely cup of tea and an empire biscuit

Bollocks no pictures

edit postimage to the rescue once I remembered how to use it

Mabie tomorrow

Yesterday’s ride was so fab, I headed back in my own to re-ride some of the new-to-me trails. It’s great to have a couple of consecutive dry days. I’d like Autumn much better if it was always like this!

I can't even begin to try and post pictures on a site that I pay to be a member of when they make it this difficult.

So I'll just look and like until they sort their shit out.

Took my son on his first night ride last night. He loved it! Only 4.5 miles but it was brilliant.

Mellow, misty ride round the local this morning. Photo mojo seems to be kicking back in finally.

Glorious day in the Tweed Valley. Blue skies, 15°c and hardly a breath of wind. Trails still running very dry.

Early start this morning to get a full lap of the Golden Road in before lunch. Too early for the cheese shop to be open. Not a breath of wind in West Wales in October. Weird but glorious.

Edit: yeah, photos not working for me.

New contender for ride of the year for me. My usual trails but with unusual conditions. Dumyat (Stirling) + inversion + sunset = happy a11y 😎

Definitely the right decision to ride last night. Started off in sunshine, climbed up into the cloud where the trail splits down to Witches Craig, then popped back above the cloud just above the style with a clear summit. The top was completely surrounded above the cloud with great views in the distance all around. Just WOW. And I had the entire hill to myself.

EDIT: f** it, I give up trying to post the photos - uploader is eff ewe kay tee for me. You'll just have to take my word for it, the views were EPIC.

Not going to bother attempting to upload a pic then but you'll have to take my word for it that the trail conditions in the Tweed Valley this weekend were epic. Deserted Glentress off piste bits on Friday afternoon and despite the climb at Golfie on Saturday being really busy, the trails themselves were empty and running so, so well.

Do links to Google images work?

Walk up Padley Gorge Saturday morning - despite charging my camera battery it was somehow almost flat when I got there. I also took the wrong lens for the situation - so made do with phone camera

https://photos.app.goo.gl/b9j9LsDmX8R8mxRp8

I'll share some riding pics if that works...

*edit - works of a fashion - that preview is cropped vs the original

I was going to go mountain biking yesterday but my daughter wanted to go out so we did our usual route through all the parks with a bit of an extension since it was too nice to go home.

Ended up doing 30 miles in total! I'll end up like peak drug-binge Lance Armstrong by the time she out grows the trailer 😆

Back to posting images externally, despite recently subscribing specifically for image uploads!

Absolutely rammed - to be fair its not too bad a schlep from Newcastle up there... I think I'd make the trip more often if it wasn't 3.5 hours away!

Do you mean your own, in your google Photos page?

I usually just copy my photo from my Photos and paste it here. Worked a treat. Nice and simple. Frankly I can't be arsed with a work around.

Wonders yet again why I'm paying for this 🤔.

Yeah, my bad - it's my own Google Photos. I just clicked share on the image, pasted the link into the reply and what you see above is how it posted

Seems it only likes two at a time - and the previews are cropped so have to click on them to see them. Not that they are that interesting tbf

Trails were running amazingly well though

I spent the weekend doing a bucket list trip riding all my favourite bike parks in the world, taking a private jet between each one.

Started out in NZ in the morning with a heli-assist.

[insert epic pic]

Flew across to Tassie and got up to Maydena for lunch and a quick lap. Great burgers!

[insert photo of me jumping over a tree fern]

Back to the plane. Chased the sun to Canada, got up early for a chilly one at Whistler.

[insert schralpage]

Dropped into MSA to check out the DH ...

Hang on, the photos aren't uploading?!?

Oh well, you'll just have to believe me.

Only had a chance to get out on the road bike for a wee spin at the weekend. Now that the pics are working again, here's the lovely views I got from the summit of the Tak Ma Doon.

And we’re back - that was Sunday afternoon’s Dumyat Inversion Sunset ride. Braw.

@a11y That beautiful inversion was kinda what I was hoping to see on Sunday afternoon from the other side of the valley. Needed to go higher but my chubby wee legs couldn't take me there.

Very cool. I keep meaning to ride Dumyat as I pass by, invariably heading to Perthshire. Some day I'll just stop and ride it.
