You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
It has to be the weekend by now surely?
Epic day with the kids at Paganella Bike Park in the Dolomites. 4600m descent and about 50km of riding. Plenty warm enough for Aussies too.
Day started a bit awkwardly as I dropped my lift pass out of the chairlift. But I managed to find it so that was a result. Puncture on the last track of the day for Reeksy2 and Reeksy1 had the tubes so I had to find him and then take two chairs up to then get back down to fix the issue!
Nope, you must still be on Aussie time as it's not the weekend yet 😘
Quick morning ride at Leamington today, first MTB ride in a while but it went well! Finally ticked off the whole blue jump & skills area lines with no casing of the last jump and starting to get confident in the air again. Amazing what fast running, dry ground can do for a confidence boost 🙂
It's a decent park, Paganella....
Currently parked up in Piemont. Rode a gravel loop but forgot to take any pics. Was too busy sweating.

Moved this morning to St Gree bike park. Will report back with some pics on Monday if I remember.
What a great day for a day off - the trails in Tollymore were just perfect!
Can’t seem to upload pics. STW tells me they’re too big - but I haven’t dont anything different than every other time I upload photos. Ah well.
Still no riding for me (collarbone break + 4 weeks) although I real feel like I could. But I won't. Maybe in a couple of weeks.
So been sorting out all the spares (and getting ready to sell a couple of bikes- having had a month off it's clear that I really do not need THREE trail bikes). So I'm pursuing N-2 and N+1 at the same time:) Just waiting for the big bit to hangs all the smaller bits off!
@Tracey: im jealous. Aletsch looks fantastic. That’s quite a photo.
back home, this has to be one of the best biking years ever. Trails are tremendous, again!
Cant compete with @Tracey and @reeksy, those photos are awesome. Just a range test on the new mobility scooter for me.

went out for the first time in 3 weeks. Rain caught us at the end.

Great first day up in the mountains. Raced the rain back down to the van
This place is just how we expected it to be. So glad we decided to give it a try
Trails are in perfect condition and the views are so good
Second ride on the new eeb. Managed to get 50km out of the battery which I'm happy with for my rides from home. Started early to beat the heat. Thankfully it was hazy and significantly cooler on the moors, so I didn't melt.
Looks amazing @tracey
We had a third day on the gondies...second day at VDS.
Spent a fair while chatting with riders and the boys getting shirts signed. Oisin, Andy, Ed and Wyn, Remy M-S, BK, and especially Troy Brosnan were so friendly. Aussies and kiwis love to see people from their end of the world.
Walked down the side of the track shooting crap photos...which don't seem to be loading
Top day around Ballater and Aboyne. Ticked Heartbreak Ridge off the list.

.
St Gree bike park.... Piemont, Just under an hour from Finale. No sweaty shuttles, no queues, no 80€ for a shuttle.

Early xc lap this morning. Thunder and heavy rain as I set off in the van, followed me the whole way there. Muggy and drizzle, which thankfully cancelled themselves out so the ride was a pretty pleasant temp overall.
Really wish I had a gopro some times, on one of the faster downhill trails, I had a bird of prey swoop overhead and I followed it down the trail before it flew off after exiting the tree's. Pretty amazing!
Did a 60k roadie yesterday morning round the Peak, started at 8am but it was so hot I massively struggled toward the end.
Today I managed my first mtb ride in nearly 13 weeks after breaking my wrist. The brace really helped as did the moral support from the good lady. Man it felt good!
I took some photos for once. Rubbish photos but let's me join in.
Somewhat retro ride for me today. This bike has been out of action for ~7 years, started a full strip and rebuild just before COVID happened, just finished it yesterday.
I'd forgotten how different it was to the current bike. You feel everything and have to pick your lines carefully, I didn't realise how lazy I'd got just plowing through everything with the FS. It highlighted just how bad my bike handling skills are, not that I thought they were great, will need to get out on this more I think.
Biggest suprise was just how difficult I found picking the front end up over larger roots. A rough side by side comparison suggests the reach is the same as the FS, but the stack is obviously much less, so it rides with much more weight on the front. Going to try mulleting it soon.
30 seconds before I took this pic that tree was standing. I hear a crack and turned to see a small leafy branch I assume from the tree above falling, and then this cracked and tumbled. I almost turned down the trail next to it 😲
Earlier local ride than usual to dodge the heat (but today has actually turned out much more bearable. Messing around with cameras too much as usual - tried out the 'belt mount' for the Insta360 which is a little funky for video but interesting (also spotted a deal breaking scratch on one of the lenses so need to surf eBay later for a replacement - glad I got the one with the swappable lens modules!), and then my little Fuji compact threw a hissy fit and corrupted half the footage/images I'd taken!
2nd day in Aletsch Arena and it didn't disappoint.
It's hard to find words to describe how much this place has to offer.
We did 30 miles and 3000m of descent. It was hot and today's ride was full on steep and rocky.
When the riding is so good it's hard to call it a day. 6 hours out with quite a bit of climbing was enough.
Riding Climachx near Dyfi. I was doubtful before hitting this that i could still pedal old-school XC/Trail stuff, i'd riden it on an Eeb and even that was pretty hefty at times.. So i was worried. Happily, i found that not riding an ebike is actually FINE and happy 🙂 As long as you're not trying to race other Ebikes, you just get on with it like we all used to do back in the day.
Rabbi
Really good natural trail from the top of Rabbijoch going south. Used to ride it often when guiding Transalp. It wasn't officially part of the tour, but it was worth the detour so long as the snow had cleared.
Some great pictures there guys.
Nowt from me as I've been unable to ride for seven days now due to illness.
Consoling myself with the thought that I was getting burned out anyway and needed to rest before we head to France and Italy for three weeks.
