It's the Weekend Ride Picture Thread again.
Ride your bike.
Take a couple of snaps.
Post them up with a few words.
Ride started off frozen then steadily rose in temperature until it was almost taps aff degrees.
Glorious here in Yorkshire. Another session at Stainburn today, trails running really well, and felt like I was riding really well (for me ... It's all relative! 😉 )
Actually, I'm also going to post some pics from last weekend too (rather than post them in last week's WRPT, which will bring it to the top of the forum, and thereby confuse people about which WRPT they should post in for this weekend!)
Last Saturday was similarly gorgeous.
Just under 30km on the SS gravel bike.
I'm sure I've seen that last photo before or is it similar to another?

Hmm. Just been back to check, and can't see/find that I've posted it before, so maybe similar to another one (I have taken a lot of riding photos recently, and the Genesis Day One SS has been by far my most used bike in the last 4 months).
Hardly knew myself with the lack of pissing rain.
Reeksy was off on a trip to a
"proper" DH track with the gang so I was at Tewantin again so Reeksy2 could join his group.
I was really tired but did the solo Dad thing for a couple of hours. I managed to take 22 photos of the inside of my pocket.
First longish ride of the year, mixture of towpaths and roads from calderdale to Marsden and back via saddleworth, littleborough and Blackstone edge. Managed to wring 80km and 1400m climbing out of it, got home just in time, I'd not eaten enough on the road and the bonk was starting!
Tried (3x) to attach a pic, said it was successfully attached, then nothing.
Try again....
Forget it.
Can't upload pictures.
Imagine a pump track with father and son BMX's glinting in the sun.
Ride postponed today. Trying to work out why the concrete was flooding in the winter storms. That's a 30m pipe that I've excavated 10m of. So far, no blockages. Possibly water running off the field. Anyway riding tomorrow but I hope it doesn't need any of the muscles I appear to have ruined digging up that pipe.
On the upside I may be able to rent it out as a WW1 trench experience 😉
Much nicer day, but it would have been even nicer if I’d waited another hour. Misty and mizzling at the top. But was starting to feel springlike at lower levels.
40 of the Ilkeston Health Riders had an away day on the Monsal Trail, and raised £150 for Treetops Hospice.
Pedalling, berms, jumps and steeps in't woods.
Conditions mixed, some clarty peanut butter, some prime.
Another cloud free day, and now 3 rides since the bike required washing.
No riding for me this weekend, as it's my wife's birthday. I did however have a few hours for bike fettling, which is almost as enjoyable.
Imagine an owd git on a fat bike with the front wheel stuck in a peat bog. The weather is lovely with sunshine and blue sky - I keep getting told that my pictures are too big despite when I look they’re well below the random 4.9mb. I’ve given up, not on life but just this forum.
I actually starting using Flickr. After years of posting photos without a problem, I suddenly became unable to about 2 weeks ago. I love this forum, but it makes itself very hard to tolerate.
Sunny in the Wye valley today. Some trails dry, some not so much. Beer was good though
No photos showing though 😕
No riding for us yesterday but we did watch some riding instead.
FIM World SupereEndro Champs in Newcastle.
A great show from all the UK lads in all classes and Billy Bolt took his fifth World overall title.
On an MTB note Brendog was riding around at the back of the UK Amateurs class looking very much like a fish out of water.
Puts into perspective how difficult what the top guys do is.

No way. Didn't realise he did that. 🙂👍
Yeah fair play to him for giving it a shot.
Pretty brave of him.
Looked like he had a couple of scary moments in first practice and lost a lot of confidence.
There road rides in the days. All in the sun. It’s been like a mini break. Here’s the end of the last one we’re met mrs Ampthill for lunch.
Quick Saturday spin round the local before I went on a brewery tour. Inspected the recent felling and checked out what the pixies have been doing to put the trails back. Also made a really bad choice of lens so the drone saved the (photography) day.
Just shy of 60 road miles with Belper Bicycle Club today - bike is filthy from some of the back lanes
Gravel ride out to the coast for coffee and a sausage roll then hunt the dropper post cable in the afternoon.
An imminent cyclone means today may be the only ride this week. Nice lap in calm humid conditions.
First and only CX race of the season for me at Strathallan Castle (just down the road from my house, only reason I entered!). After a winter of surfing around on the mud on the gravel bike I was feeling quietly confident but that was shattered after two practice laps, clearly I hadn't done enough intensity over the winter 🤮
Great fun though, despite being effortlessly passed and almost lapped by fellow forumite (and former riding buddy 😉) didnthurt.
OK, it's actually an RC Jet model, but it's bloody huge, bloody fast and makes a bloody loud noise! 🙂
Video here
Finished my weekend off this morning with a round of golf.
First ride on the Ebike this year, Golfie drier than it's been in a long time so made the most of it with a 2000 Meter, 22 Mile morning.
Bike was barely any dirtier at the end of the ride than it was at the beginning.
I call that a result.

Boys birthday today so had the day off and rode while he was at school, flying out of Gatwick tomorrow evening so riding Redlands/Leith Hill tomorrow on the way, to make it 4 rides in 5 days.
Missed to ride yesterday so grabbed an hour this afternoon to take the dawgs for a run on the hill opposite. Absolutely stunning weather and the low sun was great for getting shadow shots.
Been trying to fix a squeaky front brake. Popped out to test it and carried on going 🙂 Be riding that bike 300km in 4 days ends April so need to get some miles in.
Brendog even made it onto Bill's vlog.
Yeah I saw that. Really cool. Would like to see some footage of him riding. Be interesting to compare such an awesome mtb rider to Billy.
Be interesting to compare such an awesome mtb rider to Billy.
Honestly there really is no comparison. 🤣
Billy makes some of the worlds best enduro riders look a bit crap so there's no shame in that.
Some of the stuff Billy was trying in practice was insane.
On the log matrix at the end of the arena he jumped from the first log on the corner and cleared the third log in half way through.
I have no idea how that's even possible.
Bren could barely clear the finish line jump...
Really cool. Would like to see some footage of him riding
As if by magic..
@singlespeedstu: how do you get your Garmin to tell you how much of the ride was in eco mode?
That's not what that means.
It means the bike was in eco and had 11% battery left when I took the picture.
If I'd only spent 11% of the ride in eco I'd not have posted that picture. 🤣
It's the JanCapek Ebike Field installed on a Fenix 5
