You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Not sure whether there is a thread and I missed it, or the regulars are too fed up, or simply otherwise occupied. These are my favourite threads on this forum, so I hope we haven’t seen the end of them.
it was damp yesterday, so I went for some trail centre trails. Forgot what a fabulous trail the black at Rostrevor really is. Wonderful riding!

also I just dont know how
nice photos btw, looks a lovely ride
I genuinely can’t see any button or option to add a photo otherwise I would because I have cycled today and took a few. There doesn’t appear to be a sticky thread or guide anywhere I can see that would help either
To be frank I think most people probably post their riding photos in Facebook groups now but the owners of this site don’t seem to want to engage with improving the forum so who knows
Seems to a glitch at the moment
Tonnes of photos from a huge ride in great scenery yesterday, but can't upload for some reason ☹️
After no previous problems with pictures I’ve not been able to post for a few days- nothing to do with the weather, skin is waterproof!
Our last day of riding was Friday and are now on our way up through France to get the Tunnel tomorrow.
Parked up just south of Reimes looking at Trailforks and campsites for our next tour in September. Was planning on Pal Arinsal for a few days after Ainsa but it looks like lifts close in the week from the 14th and struggling to find any campsites
Still got Fridays photos to upload but sites not playing
I uploaded mine to Flickr and linked to it, old skool style.
@airvent only paying members can upload images to the forum (when it works), free users need to link from a hosting site.
Yup - been here several times over the weekend to start/add to a WRPT, but each time, the photo upload is borked.
Still is now, so I've gone okd-skool and linked from an image hosting site.
Friday's ride: 50km from Langsett, over Cut Gate, beside Derwent Water, up to Lost Lad / Derwent Edge, down to the Ladybower Inn, looped back up and around, Descent to Fairholmes. Far side of Derwent Water to Slippery Stones and back over Cut Gate. Decent!
(For some reason, only the first 2 photos actually embed ... 🙄 )
I'd post my pics if it would let me!
I uploaded mine to Flickr and linked to it, old skool style.
Even then you can only post 3 pics before everything breaks and doesn't display pics.
Labnol Google image links don't work.
I guess it means that you have to pay as a member to post any images - but I just don't trust that even as a paying member posting images will work.
Uploader not working for me?
Imagine a bike perched on a hill, and that's about it. Good ride though, local stuff, trails greasy but it was chuffin warm so even when it rained we didn't mind.
A couple more from yesterday.
Taken by another STW member who's our guide for the week.
Sorry it was a gravel ride……
Just a few from Rockies walks this week. Our accommodation and a walk up Parker's Ridge to view Saskatchewan Glacier.
Allegedly, it possible to post direct from your own images, but I’m not entirely certain how you do that, so I just bung a few into Postimage and c’n’p the link from there - I’ve posted three or four without issues.
You just use the share option and paste into the reply box:
et voila…

I am finding that is become increasingly hard to use the forum full stop. It less intuitive, a lottery to get to where you want.
Sometimes pics appear, sometimes they dont. I appear to be limited to 1 pic per post too.
IMO the latest batch of forum updates are working really well to push new users away. I'm assuming thats the business model STW are wanting?
Currently the forum is completely unusable for me on an iPhone
I can post photos again, but as I am trying to get fit I didn’t stop much on my two rides this week. Yesterday I started a policy of only stopping for a rest when I had to open a gate. This backfired yesterday as there were a few more people around that were very helpful and opened gates for me. Singing Beastie Boys “no rest ‘til gateposts” I did the Eastern Moors circuit in record time, maximum heartrate 173, 81% above 143 bpm, is that good for me at 65?
Of course I had the couple of obligatory stops to talk to people about my fatbike, any others who looked interested I just shouted “no it’s not electric”!
What does WRPT stand for?
Seems to be the new "du jour".
@citizenlee: Weekend Riding Photo Thread. Im not sure if @singlespeedstu invented it? It’s my favourite thread on the forum each week. I include Friday and some Monday photos. All other days go into the midweek riding photo thread (for me anyway).
@johnhe that's makes sense, thanks! I was thinking Welshman Ruins Portable Toilet.
I normally like the photo threads too but only post in them during the week when I'm on the PC as uploading to an image hosting site then copying the links etc is a chore on mobile.
I'll post some on Monday as I went for a nice birthday ride on the gravel bike today out to Royal Deeside.
First ride out for quite some time, first holidays got in the way and then little black dog made an appearance last weekend.
A fairly sedate ride in the FoD meant I only ate the dirt twice; once uphill because I wasn't paying attention and once on foot while I demonstrating just how slippery some trails can be in the dry...
Beinn Avon and Beinn a’Bhuird for us today. Quite a tough day but an ace not too techy but nicely cruisey descent to finish 😎
A little pedal in the Highlands.
It was my birthday on Saturday and I decided I wanted to do 45 miles for 45 years, so cycled out the Deeside Way to Banchory and back for a celebratory bacon and egg roll (too many wasps to take a photo of the roll, I had to eat it quick whilst dodging around the seating area).
Is Monday still the weekend? It's not midweek so it must be. 60km of South Pennine back roads with some gravel and a wee bit of singletrack. Widdop, wycoller, Haworth, Warley res. and luddenden all featured. Strangely autumnal, lots of ripe brambles in the hedgerows.
I'll try to post a pic again (grr!). A gentle pedal round the western parts of the highlands - lovely views.
