You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
The French are all off work today, (I work for a French company) so I took the day off and started my summer hols a day early. Lovely weather, and the trails in Tollymore were epic, as always.
Ace solo train assisted ride last night. One of my favourite trail rides anywhere, with the added bonus that I can do it right from the door no driving involved
Haven't felt very fit recently but hints of some form returning which was nice too
Chasing the sunset last night. Finished the ride in complete darkness. Solo ride, so all the forest monsters were chasing me, which added to the excitement.
Toad/frog tested my brakes right at the end, then demanded a photo before hopping off into the dark.
Put the old Solarismax back together for Reeksy1 to use as a gravel HT. Couldn't resist a shakedown.
(Out of shot in the first photo was some reprobate screaming blue murder at me because I'd just ridden through his illegal camp site and scared the shit out of his horrible pig dog).
I should have taken some photos of the trails as it's both lush and marble-y! After 12 weeks riding nothing, today was (easy) single track for nearly 4 hours. It felt like coming home. I have so missed this 🙂 Physio tomorrow, so going to have to lie when discussing our agreed "Rehab Protocol" which explicitly denied any riding MTBs for at least 4 more weeks 🙂
More double post!

Great pictures folks, keep em coming!!
Hot and sunny - I don't cope well with 25degC! Colsnaur in the Ochils last night. Cooked myself on the climb, cooked the brakes on the descent 😀
Definite improvement with higher-rise bars (20mm previous, now 38mm) but curious to try even higher...
Took my daughter out for what is becoming our weekly ride.
25 miles around the 3 main city parks and along the beach.
Stopped at the logs for some snacks and so I could have stretch... towin' ain't easy 😤😆

Amazing photos posted by everyone else by the way!
Stars aligned, all of us off work, working bikes, uninjured, no family duties, and the perfect weather - lets have a trip to Wales!
Got most of the way there... and then took ride back in Thunderbird 4 (with a few hours hanging round a Toby Carvery car park in the middle)
Felt miserable to have got so close to a rare ride out with some mates so we rode to the pub instead:
Any bike ride is better than no bike ride, at least!
Friday was the last day of what's been my bucket list holiday for the past 20 years or so.
Scorching temperatures, even on the top of the mountains, and miles upon miles of gorgeous singletrack descents. It was simple awesome thanks to Rab, our guide, The White Room MTB who hosted us and the Singletrackworld hive who originally suggested going with that company.
@Beagleboy, which trip did you do with Whiteroom? Thinking about one of theirs for next year, no less-so after seeing your pics. Looks a bit good.
It was the Classic Singletrack holiday that we booked. Can't recommend it enough. The guides, food, accommodation, everything was excellent.

Cheers! Got my own bucket list holiday with Basque MTB next month. Will give White Room some thought for next year.
Im assuming Monday still qualifies as a (long) weekend! Back in the Portes du Soleil:
