You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Well I've done no prep because I was busying myself building the bike below up. I really, really need to sort myself out this weekend or I am in lots of trouble.
Anyway. NBD/maiden voyage. Slop warrior. Maxxis shorty on the front. Hosed it down afterwards then shoved it in the cellar. Seems pretty mint so far.

529?
Mine on a big day out (not this weekend)

First moorland ride in months.Mainly been commuting.

Too tight to buy a stamp , delivered a card about 3 miles from us then rode across a sloppy wet moor to a pub 3 times further away ! Well it made sense to me .

Met about twenty of these in the FoD yesterday. Seemed placid enough...
My son getting his steez on

And the obligatory 'my bike in the woods' pic.

Peak-slop in the peak, fun day out.

Samuel got given a hand me down bike. Ribble R782 (105 11 speed). put a shorter stem on it and it seems to fit him ok. 32mm p-zero tyres
First ride and doesn't he look ecstatic lol sibling rivalry pushed sophie to do her quickest ever run of the 7 mile loop we do.

Ride tomorrow walk for sunrise this morning. Sausages and dog walk a good way to start the day.
Aboyne for me today. Sub-zero at the car park but warmer as you got higher, made for very mixed trail conditions.
This was my third time out on my new bike and I think that I have got pretty close with the set up. Riding the rougher stuff is so much less hectic on this than my old Privateer 141 and for a 170mm bike the YT is surprisingly nimble.

I really like my capra, in fact I think I'll take it to the golfie today. You're right doesn't feel like a big bike but is really comfortable.
@onehundredthidiot - love those photos! One of your dogs looks very interested at what's in the pan!
Took the Yeti to the Yat as I thought it might be dry-ish and I had a shiny new set of forks to try. Amazingly it was mostly dry, fab conditions even when the heavy leaf cover whipped away front end grip. Did quite a bit of trail maintenance as well after storm dumped stuff we could cut with a saw, manhandle out of the way.

New forks fantastic out of the box. Then arrived back on Ross (where I'd left my car) only to find my wife was shopping in town which meant she could join us in the pub (and I secured a lift home after a few pints!). Must remember to go and fetch my car today 😉

Salisbury Plain super gnarly rad grav*
* AKA Imber perimeter path.
Bit mucky on The Ridgeway this morning, but the sun was shining 🙂

Beautiful light this evening, just stunning, feeling a bit stormy too!
Wrote a thing. More of a ramble to be fair: https://www.pickled-hedgehog.com/a-sense-of-place/
Sunshine over Woburn today with the kids
even got my eldest to take a picture of his rad dad ,?

Good to be back out pedalling after last weekends bout of covid. Christmas gravel ride to Brum brewery yesterday and a solo play in the woods today

A late night last night so quite a sedate river and trail ride from Sheffield to Doncaster today. Another puncture at Attercliffe, so this week I will definitely tubeless this bike, especially as my pump gave up on me too. Luckily JEJames is just a few miles along on the route so resupplied there, BBB Airstick for a tenner, the last one kept going for twenty years at least, so same again please and thank you.
Stayed low to avoid the wind and got some Hebden classics in today
Been a bit of a tough week this week, youngest daughter in for her tonsils and adenoids being removed, and then MiL decided on a self-inflicted hospital trip ...
So, I really appreciated a couple of hours out yesterday morning on the HT. Trails mostly running OK, a bit greasy with muddy spots, but pretty good for this stage in the winter ...
Managed to squeeze an hour on the gravel bike this morning too.
(But still not prepared for Christmas!)
Great pictures everyone.
Cheered me up after a weekend of no riding due to manflu.
Lucked out with the weather on Saturday for a quick 60km on the gravel bikes. Took the train out to Ruabon and then rode back along the canal and back roads/farm tracks before Christmas with the in-Laws. Even managed to get a rainbow without the rain.

Monday seems close enough to the weekend to post here rather than the midweek rides thread! Perfect conditions at Woburn today. A lap of the Longslade then a few laps of the bike park to remind myself that I really suck at park/DH now so should probably stop looking at buying park bikes 🙂 resigned to the fact that I'll never ride as well as I used to! Think I should stick to trail bike mincing for now.

Couple of festive laps at FOD, cut short by a snapped spoke, Santa’s bringing new hoops

Absolutely ridiculous ride along the riverbanks around Muthil, Crieff and Comrie today.
Pure cyclo-cross masquerading as gravel, lucky my winter bike is just a CX bike with 40mm tyres then!
Some amazing trails and conditions, but also some rocky, rooty, muddy nonsense that required some pushing. Totally broken by the time I got home (not helped by chasing a tailwind KOM that has mysteriously disappeared off Strava ?).
Full route (and loads of others) and more pics on the CycleCrieff Komoot.

Sorry, couldn't choose just 5...

Snook out for a couple of hours on the gravel bike this afternoon. I've been full of man flu for a few days, so this was the first time I've felt up to it for a while. The back lanes in and around Corvedale and Brown Clee hill in the Shropshire hills AONB if anyone knows them. I had them mostly to myself. Which was nice.....
.

I’m was in Istanbul all week for work, got home yesterday lunchtime so had a few hours out today.
